March Blessings

The midterm happened a few days after my last post. I studied extremely hard for it, and when it came time to write the exam, I was writing on adrenaline. I was halfway through when the proctor said there were 30 minutes left. I wrote with fury, and used every minute until she gave us the last call. When I left the classroom, I felt a huge burden leave my body. I felt so relieved, it was like I had forgotten what relief felt like. After studying until 12:30am every night for five nights, I regained the experience of restful sleep.

I had lunch the next day with two of my managers, and we talked about the company, my classes, and travels to Hong Kong. At night, we played Guitar Hero and watched more Gaki no Tsukai.

After a stop at Oakridge, I met Tim at Blenz. This time I had the Rooibos ChaiChillo, and I was very happy with the flavour. It's always good to shoot the breeze over drinks. That night we went swing dancing at the Legion Hall. It was nice to get back onto the dancefloor and to learn something new.

We shared smooth tequilas to commemorate Vince's birthday. I was very impressed with the quality; there was no burning feeling as it went down. Vince also had a birthday dinner at the Keg in Richmond. There were many Omega cuts present.

I started to feel tired during the week, like I was coming down with something. What a horrible time to get a sore throat.

We held a conversations workshop at Henry and Annalie's house, for Burnaby Baptist Fellowship. We had interesting discussions about how people start conversations, and how to keep them interesting. Afterward, we watched Bee Movie. It's light-hearted entertainment, and I recommend it!

I slept most of Saturday. My body needed to rest, and if I wasn't feeling sick I probably wouldn't give it all the rest it requires. We played board games with Jennie's friends: Modern Art (which Jennie won) and Power Grid (which I won).

I'm still feeling under the weather, which is a downer. Although being in this current state makes me appreciate the times when I'm feeling healthy. Health is one thing that you truly appreciate only when you don't have it.

I had the Rooibos Chai Latte at Blenz. Every tea drink I've tried so far at Blenz has impressed me. I hope I don't get disappointed by their seemingly consistent quality.

How about those Canucks! Maybe they're peaking at just the right time. It's been a tumultuous season, and I'd like to see them come together as a team just as the playoffs start.

I'm very thankful for my grandmother, and very happy to say that she's now my sister in Christ! Praises and joys!
